Yesterday we packed up the kids and headed into the big city to check out a few Olympic sites. Coming from a Dutch heritage, we couldn't resist trying to see the Holland Heineken House. We actually had tried last Saturday but between the rain and the 3 hour line-up, it didn't work out so well. So this time, the weather looked much better, we went on a weekday and we left early in the morning. And we had success, walking right in without a line-up. It was fun to see everything in orange, Holland's national colour.

For lunch we enjoyed some 'frites with mayonaisse', 'croquets', and 'boerenkoel'. (I'm sure the spelling of those words is not correct!)

Such a fun time up there during the festivities...we took our kiddos too and had such a great time. You'll have to check my blog for the other exciting Olympic fun I experienced! :)
