A soggy Halloween

It rained tonight - not just a light drizzle - it poured! But honestly, I don't think the kids even noticed. We headed out for a little trick-or-treating and a good night was had by all! It really didn't seem to matter if feet were soaked or costumes were drenched, as long as the candy kept filling up the buckets, it was all good. Here are a few pictures of my little trick-or-treaters!

Kendra, the black panther.

Owen, the soccer player.

Jocelyn, the kitty cat.

They needed to practice so they rang our door bell!

Trick or Treat!

It was that day of the year yesterday when we dress up the kids and head out around the neighborhood collecting crazy amounts of candy, chocolate, chips and the like. It really is quite a weird idea, if you ask me, but still kinda fun. So, we headed out with a gymnastics girl, an elephant and a cute little bear! We met up with some friends and toured around their neighborhood and then did a few more houses around our place. The kids were very excited with their loot! Until next year . . . ! Little Bear is standing on her own now - we think walking is not far behind!!
Ready to head out for the night!

Pumpkins and Halloween

Our Saturday morning began with the carving out of our pumpkins. The kids each got to scoop and design their own pupmkin, the one they choose from the pumpkin patch. Neither were really big on the 'yucky stuff' inside! Kendra was very excited to draw on her own face and help to carve it out!

After supper, it was time to head out for a little trick-or-treating. The kids were excited to put on their animal costumes and practice making their animal noises. They looked pretty cute as an elephant and a lion! They thoroughly enjoyed having their buckets filled with candy!

Checking out the loot afterwards and having a few pieces before bed! Done again for another year!
