Yesterday we packed up the kids and headed into the big city to check out a few Olympic sites. Coming from a Dutch heritage, we couldn't resist trying to see the Holland Heineken House. We actually had tried last Saturday but between the rain and the 3 hour line-up, it didn't work out so well. So this time, the weather looked much better, we went on a weekday and we left early in the morning. And we had success, walking right in without a line-up. It was fun to see everything in orange, Holland's national colour.
They also had some cool interactive stuff, where you could practice your
speedskating, bobsleding and snowboarding and time yourself on a virtual race. Quite fun!For lunch we enjoyed some 'frites with mayonaisse', 'croquets', and 'boerenkoel'. (I'm sure the spelling of those words is not correct!)

Such a fun time up there during the festivities...we took our kiddos too and had such a great time. You'll have to check my blog for the other exciting Olympic fun I experienced! :)
